Carolyn Dooley '10

Orientation Leader

Carolyn Dooley is a rising junior from New Caanan, CT. This past year she has become involved in the Campus Activities Board working on the fall concert, Snowball, and Springfest. She has also become active in the school's intramural leagues playing flag football, indoor soccer, and basketball. Carolyn plans on studying abroad and is looking at possible careers in politics and governmental organizations.

Jaimie Myrkalo is a rising senior from Pittston, PA majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Jaimie is excited to meet her Stine residents.

Edoardo Nori '10

Orientation Leader

Edoardo Nori is a rising junior. He is originally from Torino, in northern Italy which held the 2006 Winter Olympics. He is a double major in Economics and Philosophy. Edoardo also is a Community Leader, which is similar to being a Resident Assistant, but for upper class housing. He is involved in a few organizations in Gettysburg; Italian Club and the International Affairs Association. He would like to welcome you all to Gettysburg and looks forward to meeting you throughout orientation. Ciao!

Dean Vlahos '09

Orientation Leader

Dean Vlahos is a senior History major and Education minor. He wants to be a high school history teacher so that he can somehow make a positive difference in the world. He is a fun-loving, very easy going and outgoing individual. Dean really enjoys helping people and truly wants to make this world a better place by being a positive role model for students. He was a resident assistant for two years and now is a CL of Apple Hall. Dean joined Residence Life so that he would be able to be a positive student of influence on Gettysburg College's campus and is very happy with his decision. He is very experienced in working with first years and hopes to still be a mentor and role model for the class of 2012.

Victoria Casterline '10

Orientation Leader

Victoria "Tory" Casterline is a junior Psychology major and Spanish minor from Lansdale, PA. Tory is returning this semester from her study abroad experience in Seville, Spain. She is actively involved in Alpha Phi Omega and various volunteer work on campus. She loves all forms of music and participates in Gettysburg's Concert Choir. Tory hopes to pursue a PhD in Clinical and Counseling Psychology and is passionate about helping the world around her. She wishes all the incoming first year students the best of luck as they enter our amazing institution: Gettysburg College!

Kristen Degenhart '10

Kristen Degenhart is a rising junior from Shrewsbury, NJ majoring in Health Sciences and Spanish. Kristen is a campus tour guide and excited to meet her Stine Hall residents.

Victor Smith

  Resident Assistant

Vic Smith is a junior Political Science major from New London, Connecticut. He is very dedicated to academics at Gettysburg, but also puts in several hours a week as a member of the Bullet Football team and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).  In his spare time, Vic likes to hang with his friends, watch movies, play board or card games, and do anything active, particularly sports. He spends his summers working at an afterschool program and summer camp for children between 5 and 12. This is a camp that he attended as a child. He is looking forward to starting off another school year and meeting the new students!

Kristin Wyatt '09

Orientation Leader

Kristin Wyatt is a senior Psychology and French double major hailing from South Windsor, Connecticut. On campus, she is involved in the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Psi Chi, the psychology honors society, and works in admissions as a tour guide, among other things. She is thrilled to welcome the class of 2012 and wishes the very best of luck in your four years at Gettysburg!

Greg Baron '10

Orientation Leader

Greg Baron is a junior Environmental Science major with an emphasis in biology. Greg is currently a part of the Track and Field team, and throws the shot put and javelin. He also is a part of Lambda Chi Alpha, a Greek fraternity on campus, and a community service group called Alpha Phi Omega. Greg is a very competitive athlete, and keeps in good shape. His goals are to possibly coach track some day, and do field work. Greg is very friendly, and enjoys community service.

Ashley Bugay '09

Orientation Leader

Ashley Bugay is a senior. She is the youngest of four children who lives outside of Reading, Pennsylvania. When she and her mom pulled onto campus for her first college visit her mom looked at her and said, "Having seen your brothers' and sister's college campuses- this is how I envision college." From that moment, Ashley knew Gettysburg was the place for her. Since fall 2005 Ashley has enjoyed finding her own niche at Gettysburg- by working for the college, connecting with professors, living among other eager students, spending a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark, and participating in various campus activities. And now she looks forward to helping you create your own unique, memorable experience!

Kelly Connors is a sophomore English major with minors in both Writing and Film Studies. She lives in Cumberland, Rhode Island, and loves to swim and play tennis. At Gettysburg, Kelly works at the College Union Building Information Desk and can't wait to welcome the class of 2012 to campus!
