Matty Heiser '09

Resident Coordinator

Matty Heiser is a senior Environmental Studies major, Economics minor from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He will be the Residence Coordinator for Patrick Hall this year. Matty is also the LEAD Chair and Risk Manager for the Sigma Nu Fraternity, an intern from the Department of Public Safety, the Interfraternity Council Chief Justice, and member of the Student Conduct Review Board. His favorite thing about Gettysburg is meeting new people and building community and friendships throughout the college

Ben Boamah is a rising senior from Ghana. Ben is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and loves football. Ben is very excited to meet his Patrick residents.

Gabriella Gaona '11

Orientation Leader

Gabriela Gaona is a current first-year student at Gettysburg College and a Business Management major. She loves to cook and clean and her favorite thing to do is watch movies. Gaby is a very friendly, hardworking and loyal person. She loves helping others and making them feel happy when they are down. She really likes Gettysburg College and she is blessed to be here. Most of the people are very welcoming and kind. One of her favorite things to say about Gettysburg College is that there is no better place to make the best networks ever.

Dawn Grashorn '11

Resident Assistant

Dawn Grashorn is a sophomore Political Science major and Secondary Education minor, from Aberdeen, New Jersey.  She is actively involved in the Coalition for Community Care Tutoring Program, where she helps Gettysburg area students ages 4-14 with their homework.  Dawn is  also the captain of her intramural basketball team and a member of the College Republicans.  She is excited to be an RA in Patrick Hall and can't wait to meet the Class of 2012!

Jess Jakositz '10

Orientation Leader

Jess Jakositz is from a small town in south-central New Jersey. She applied to ten colleges, and decided on Gettysburg because it gave her that feeling when she visited. Jess has always loved teaching and is majoring in math and minoring in secondary education. She also teaches a "butt and gut" class on campus and tutors students at calc-aid. Jess hopes to teach high school math and coach a track team after she graduates.

Chris Jackiewicz is a rising Junior from Warrington, NJ. Chris is a member of the Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity on campus and likes running and basketball. He is excited to meet his Patrick residents.

Nicole Meredyth

Resident Assistant

Nicole Meredyth is a sophomore Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major from South Burlington, Vermont. She currently works in the Athletic Department, will work as a Chemistry tutor this year, and is a member of the varsity field hockey team. Last year she participated in Relay for Life and played floor hockey with a team from the Special Olympics.  She is looking forward to her sophomore year, and can't wait to meet her residents!

Jennie Pagano '10

Jennie Pagano is a junior from Huntington, New York. She is studying Biology and education at Gettysburg College and plans on studying abroad in Australia in the spring of 2009. Jennie is the editor of the Spectrum Yearbook, the historian of Alpha Phi Omega, a member of the Campus Activities Board and is involved with other community service organizations on campus. She is excited to have lots of fun during orientation with the Class of 2012!

Zach Travis is a junior Chemistry major and a Film minor and a possible Math minor. He is originally from outside Boston, MA, however, a few weeks after graduating from high school, his family relocated to Austin, TX. Zack participates in various intramural sports and is a brother in the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity.

Patrice Bramble '11

Patrice Bramble is a sophomore Mathematics major and Spanish minor, with hopes to acquire a degree in Civil Engineering. She was born in Manhattan, New York but spent her whole life living on the beautiful island of St. Croix. During her free time, Patrice enjoys singing with the Gettysburg Gospel Choir, dancing with the DOD Dance group, and when at home in St. Croix, playing the Double Second Steel Pan.

Katie Chandler '10

Katie Chandler is a sophomore German and History double major from Damascus, MD. During the last fall semester in 2007, she studied and lived in Cologne, Germany. On campus, Katie is a Peer Teaching Assistant (PTA) for the German department. As a PTA, she runs conversation classes each week with lower level German students in order to help them improve their language skills. She is also involved in the Admissions Office on campus by hosting prospective students and she hopes to work as a tour guide during the 2008-2009 school year.

Marianne Florentino is an awesome and very modest English and Theatre double major from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She loves to dance, sing, do all sorts of theatre activities and any random thing that comes her way. Her five favorite things are (randomly picked to tell the truth): good food, books, plays, Indian movies, and the beach.
