How to Access databases from off-campus

  • Academic Search Premier - provides abstracts and full text articles covering a wide range of disciplines from 1971-present.
  • Access World News - provides full-text newspaper articles from over 600 U.S. and 700 international sources.
  • Accessible Archives - provides full-text articles from 18th and 19th century American newspapers, periodicals, and Pennsylvania county histories (covers material from 1728-1900).
  • ACS Journals Online - provides fulltext chemistry articles. Articles published from the first issue of each journal - present.
  • African American Music Reference - provides coverage of blues, jazz, spirituals, civil rights songs, slave songs, minstrelsy, rhythm and blues, gospel, and other forms of black American musical expression.
  • African American Song - the first online resource to document the history of African American music in an online music listening service. The collection contains a diverse range of genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, ragtime, folk songs, and narratives, among others.
  • African Women's Bibliographic Database - database contains over 22,000 citations from 1986 to current.   • Alternative Press Index - provides citations to articles about cultural, social and political change. Articles date from 1991-present.
  • America: History & Life - provides citations to articles on American and Canadian history. Articles date from 1964 - present.
  • American Civil War: Letters and Diaries - provides fulltext of letters, diaries, and memoirs covering 1861-1865.
  • American Fact Finder - Summary and detailed data on population and housing from the 1990 and 2000 Decennial Census, as well as data from the 1997 Economic Census, and the American Community Survey.
