About ARTstor: ARTstor offers coherent collections of art images and descriptive information as well as the software tools to enable active use of the collections. The ARTstor Library includes approximately 300,000 images covering art, architecture and archeology. ARTstor's software tools support a wide range of uses including: viewing and analyzing images through features such as zooming and panning, saving groups of images online for personal or shared uses, and creating and delivering presentations both online and offline.
You must register to save any images for future reference or to add personal notes to images. You also need to be registered to use the offline viewer. To register, first choose Search and Browse for Images on the left of the screen to open the ARTstor library. Then choose the Register button on the right of the ARTstor library screen.
Connect to ARTstor
Offline Viewer: The Offline Viewer software allows you to download an ARTstor Image Group and save it as an offline presentation. Using the Offline Viewer, you can view and author presentations without an internet connection. The Offline Viewer requires a one-time download and install. The Offline Viewer software must be installed on any computer from which offline presentations will be made. The Offline Image Viewer can be downloaded from the Tools menu within ARTstor. You must have an account and be logged in to download it.

Access Restrictions: Gettysburg College Access. Students, faculty and staff with a Gettysburg College Microsoft Outlook email account may access from off-campus. See the off-campus access instruction page.
