2009 Volleyball Camp Information

Thank you for your interest in the 2009 Gettysburg College Volleyball Camp.  Registration is no longer available.  The camp has enrolled its maximum number of participants. 

The Gettysburg College Women's Volleyball Camp is directed by Alexa Keckler, the head women's coach at Gettysburg College.  The camp will be held July 12-16 for girls entering 6th-12th grades.  The main goals of the camp are to provide specialized individual instruction designed to take you and your team to the next level.  We will accomplish this through a positive, hard working approach to teaching and learning.  It is our goal that each camper leaves as a more skilled individual and thus a more valuable team player.

OBJECTIVES:
    * Individual skills
    * Game technique
    * Team oriented drills 

FACILITIES:
    * 6 indoor courts
    * 1 outdoor court
    * college training room
    * video room
    * pool
    * college dormitories (room assignments may be requested but are not guaranteed.)

COST:
$365.00 overnight
$290.00 day camper (Please note: the day camper is included in all 3 training sessions)
$50.00 non-refundable deposit due with registration (spaces are only reserved once deposit/payment is received). This fee includes double occupancy rooms, excellent meals, games, practice, T-shirt, and trainers.

PAYMENT:
Checks payable to Gettysburg College.

REGISTRATION:

REPORTING TO CAMP: 
Sunday, July 12, 2009 in Bream Gymnasium Lobby
    2:00 - 4:00pm for overnight
    4:00 - 4:45pm for commuters
- First meal July 12 - 5:00pm
- Last meal July 16 - 8:00am

CHECK OUT:
Thursday, July 16 between 11:00am - 12:00pm

THINGS TO BRING:
 - lots of socks
 - towels
 - toiletries
 - extra pair of volleyball shoes
 - water bottle and/or sports drinks
 - sheets (twin)
 - blanket and pillow
 - fan if desired
 - kneepads
 - swimsuit

MEDICAL CARE:
Although certified trainers will be on duty during competition, illness or injuries requiring medical attention will be referred to Gettysburg Hospital (less than 1 mile from campus).  Parental signature is necessary to provide medical care.  The camper's own personal medical insurance plan is responsible for all medical services rendered.
