Ranked consistently in the top tier of the nation's liberal arts colleges, Gettysburg is an academically rigorous, four-year, residential college of liberal arts and sciences. Gettysburg's campus community is comprised of 2,600 energetic and actively engaged undergraduate students.

The comprehensive Gettysburg Curriculum fosters intellectual growth, inspires creativity and integrative thought, develops empowering communication skills, and promotes global awareness. Intimate class sizes (18-20 students, on average) and a student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1 provide Gettysburg students with abundant opportunities to conduct collaborative research with enthusiastic and accomplished faculty. More than 120 student-run clubs and organizations, as well as intercollegiate and intramural athletics, allow Gettysburg College students to expand their experiences beyond the classroom environment.

Located 60 minutes from Baltimore, Maryland and 80 minutes from Washington, D.C., the world-famous town of Gettysburg,�Pennsylvania is home to a plethora of shops, cultural attractions, restaurants, and the historic Gettysburg National Military Park. Gettysburg students reap the benefits of the College's close proximity to a vibrant town and several major metropolitan centers, which include an extensive array of internship options, as well as cultural and recreational activities.
