Updated Course Lists for Sociology

For the latest, most reliable list of courses offered in the department, click the links beloe. The course lists you can access here are more detailed than the one generated by the registrar (the link on the left side of this page). They include important information such as who teaches a class, how often it is offered (in a small department many classes are only be offered once every one or two years), affiliated classes that count towards the major or minor, links to sample syllabi and course webpages, and info on whether and how the class meets the goals of the Gettysburg Curriculum.

Opportunities for Out-of-Classroom Learning Experiences

Sociology students are encouraged to arrange learning experiences outside of the classroom, and we offer opportunities to earn credit for such endeavors. To hear what our students have done and to learn more about such experiences (which include internships, service-learning, independent study, honors theses, archaeological fieldschools and field trips, and study abroad), click here.
