Fellowships & scholarships

Applying for competitive fellowships and scholarships may seem daunting, but major awards are not out of reach for dedicated students.

Gettysburg College students have earned:

Rhodes, Marshall and Goldwater scholarships

Fulbright grants and teaching assistantships

National Science Foundation fellowships

and many other awards.

As part of its scholar development program, Gettysburg College makes it a high priority to assist students who are willing to put forth the time and effort required to craft a strong application.

Assistant Provost for Scholarship Maureen Forrestal, 717-337-6835, is ready to mentor students as they brainstorm with faculty members about feasible projects, reflect about who they are and what they really want to do, research their topic, and work through the inevitable rewrites of their applications.
