Education Minor
From coursework to student teaching to certification, Gettysburg College's education department prepares students to become excellent elementary and secondary teachers.
In keeping with Gettysburg College's liberal arts environment, education students complete an academic major of their choice in addition to a minor in education. Students who minor in education are prepared for state certification.
Students have the option to delay their "education semester," which includes upper-level education seminars and a student-teaching experience, to a "ninth semester" that is offered at a small fraction of regular tuition. The ninth-semester option gives students the opportunity to undertake extended study abroad or to design a double-major or double-minor.
