Musselman Library has a strong and vibrant collection, including:
- Over 370,000 volumes
- Over 12,500 online journals
- Over 140 online research databases
- Circulating collection of over 5,000 CDs and 13,000 videos and DVDs
- One-of-a-kind treasures in Special Collections
Our award-winning building opened in 1981 and currently houses:
- Three computer labs (one reserved for library research)
- A Digital Center
- Five floors of study space - three floors are reserved for quiet study
- Group study rooms for collaborative work
- Listening and viewing rooms for media items on course reserve
- A browsing room with a collection of bestsellers and award-winning fiction
- Rotating exhibits and art displays including student and faculty art
Services We Provide
- The Library is open 24 hours/day most of the week when classes are in session.
- Patrons may consult with reference librarians at the reference desk, or make an appointment for an in-depth consultation. We also offer email and virtual reference service.
- The Special Collections department houses rare and unique materials, including the College archives, Gettysburgiana, items pertaining to the Civil War, Asian art, and much more. Special Collections welcomes all researchers. Hours vary - check the website for current hours.
- Interlibrary loan is available free of charge to campus community members.
Who can use Musselman Library?
- Anyone is welcome to use our print and online collections, photocopiers, and microform reader/printers.
- Members of the campus community may check out circulating materials, access our online databases (most are also available from off campus), fax, reserve a study room or locker, and make Interlibrary Loan requests.
- Alumni and Friends of Musselman Library may borrow books and media.
- Adult residents of Adams County and students from selected colleges and universities may borrow books.
