ERP (Peoplesoft) Modules
Gettysburg College purchased the Peoplesoft/Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in March 1997 as a strategic initiative from the Board of Trustees. The ERP replaced the college's legacy system, AIMS. New ancillary systems (orphans) were purchase to provide best-of-breed capabilities not in Peoplesoft. The College formed an Implementation Committee (IMPCOM); and, after FIT-GAP business process analysis, began formal implementation of ERP from June 1998 thru June 2001. Originally, the college purchase 16 modules of Peoplesoft which were implemented, including the PeopleTools middle-ware module. Later, 12 electronic applications (eApps) were obtained that permitted Campsu self service, such as On-line Registration for students and on-line grade posting for facultydirectly into the ERP pages. In 2002, a major technical insertion change of the client-service architecture resulted in webfront end user interface. The ERP provides automation data entry, storage and reporting capabilities in the following component areas:
