Subject: The Campaign for Paperless Paystubs
Earlier this year, the Payroll Office shared the online availability of paystubs (direct deposit statements) via PeopleSoft Self Service. After receiving positive feedback, we are pleased to announce the next step in our Campaign for Paperless Paystubs and the transition to PeopleSoft Self Service as the primary distribution method for paystubs. Beginning with the Nov. 20th pay, only those employees choosing the option of "Send a paper copy" within PeopleSoft Self Service will receive a paystub in campus mail.
Campaign for Paperless Paystubs - Although employees wishing to receive paper paystubs will continue to have this option, before electing to do so, we encourage you to consider the following as part of our Campaign for Paperless Paystubs:
With the availability of easy access to current and prior period paystubs via PeopleSoft Self Service, do you need that bi-weekly envelope and paper copy paystub?
- A process is in development to send an email each payday to share availability of payroll activity and login instructions for PeopleSoft Self Service.
- Print capabilities are provided within PeopleSoft should you have a need for current or prior period payroll information.
- Although the print default will be "do not print", print preference can be changed at anytime.
If you would like to maximize benefits to the College by adopting paperless paystubs prior to Nov. 20th, it takes 4 easy steps:
1. Log into PeopleSoft - https://psinfo1.gettysburg.edu/SA8PROD/signon.html
2. Select Self Service/Payroll - Direct Deposit
3. Choose "Pay Statement Print Option"
4. Elect to Do not send paper copy... and Save
Obtaining Paper Copy of Paystub - The printer default will be changed within PeopleSoft on Nov. 9 in preparation for the Nov. 20th pay. Employees wishing to have a paper copy of a paystub may print a PDF version from within PeopleSoft at anytime on or after the respective pay day. Alternatively, employees may elect to continue receiving a paper copy via campus mail by making a one-time change to their print default within PeopleSoft after Nov. 9th or by emailing payroll@gettysburg.edu anytime. Instructions to do so will follow closer to that time.
Thank you for your consideration of support for the Campaign for Paperless Paystubs. We encourage you to contact us with any questions or requests for assistance.
